As it turns out, a young Rick C-137 was approached by another dimension's Rick, dubbed by fans as "Weird Rick." After rejecting Weird Rick's offer to travel the multiverse with him, Weird Rick killed Rick C-137's wife and daughter with a bomb, sending Rick C-137 on a downward spiral. A little more of dimension C-137 has been seen over the years, though, with parts of Rick's backstory being slowly revealed starting in season 3. However, Rick and Morty C-137 abandon dimension C-137 after destroying it in season 1, episode 6, "Rick Potion #9," with the duo leaving the Cronenberg world and moving to C-131, where the show has taken place ever since. Rick and Morty's interdimensional exploits have caused multiple versions of Rick and Morty to appear in the series, with the series' main Rick being classified as Rick C-137, due to him being from dimension C-137.
